Poetry Pollinators empowers poetry, art, and education to bring back declining native bee populations and animate public spaces as ecological systems that support the flourishing of all species.

Created by poet-activist Julie Chase-Daniel and  Santa Fe Poet Laureate Elizabeth Jacobson, the first project of Poetry Pollinators will establish wild native bee houses along the Santa Fe River and Park trails. With no hive, honey, or queen to protect, this project has the support of the City of Santa Fe River Commission and the Santa Fe Watershed Association.

Poetry Pollinators is committed to cultivating an ecopoetics of public space that invites, celebrates, and promotes a sense of community that integrates the animate life of nature beginning with a focus on the bees to awaken human awareness and inspire an ethic of care for the mutual wellbeing of all.
